Mukhyamantri Krishak Durghatna Kalyan Yojana.

The state government of Uttar Pradesh Government has recently launched Mukhyamantri Krishak Durghatna Kalyan Yojana. Under the scheme financial assistance of Rs. 5 Lakh will be provided to the family of farmers on their death or occurrence of physical disability while working. The farmers in the age group of 18 to 70 are covered under the scheme.

The assistance program will also cover the people who work in the fields of other owners and receive the crops after harvesting. The state has also decided to implement Mukhyamantri Paryatan Samvardhan Yojana to boost tourism in state.

The Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh YS Jagan Mohan Reddy recently launched a scheme in Amaravati

The Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh YS Jagan Mohan Reddy recently launched a scheme in Amaravati, which seeks to provide loans to the women Self Help Groups (SHGs) of the state, at zero percent interest.

The Chief Minister released about ₹1,400 crore for the scheme, which is expected to benefit nearly 8.78 lakh SHGs. The interest component of ₹20,000 to ₹40,000 will be borne by the state government. At present, the SHGs borrow from banks at interest rate of 7 to 13 per cent.

‘HOPE’ – Helping Out People Everywhere,

Uttarakhand government has recently launched a portal named ‘HOPE’ – Helping Out People Everywhere, to assist the workers of the state to find suitable employment.

The portal has started to collect data on the youngsters of the state and migrant workers returned from other states. The workers can upload their skill-sets on the website and based on that, they will be able to find suitable jobs at home-state. The data collected will be used for implementing the Mukhyamantri Swarojgar Yojana, implemented by the state earlier.

Udan 4.0

The Union Civil Aviation Minister has recently announced that a total of 78 additional routes has been approved under the fourth batch of Regional Connectivity Scheme—Ude Desh Ka Aam Nagarik (UDAN).

Named as Udan 4.0, the new set of air operations connect Eighteen unserved/underserved airports to metro cities like Delhi, Kolkata, Kochi among others. With this, the total number of sanctioned routes has been increased to 766.

Justice Uday Umesh Lalit will be sworn-in as Chief Justice of India 

 Justice Uday Umesh Lalit will be sworn-in as Chief Justice of India today. President Draupadi Murmu will administer him oath as the 49th Chief Justice of India at Rashtrapati Bhawan. He succeeds Justice NV Ramana, who retired yesterday.   

Justice UU Lalit will be in office for 74 days, a tenure shorter than average. Justice Lalit was involved in some landmark judgements in past and will also handle some major cases in his tenure as Chief Justice. In past, he was involved in the landmark judgement in Triple Talaq case.
